Advice: Passive Earning with Perk’s AppTrailers App

AppTrailers is one of the higher paying Perk mobile apps out there and
it’s available for iOS and Android devices. You can earn up to 10 Perk points
per video cycle, which is really nice. But from my own observations using this app,
this app is nowhere near as passive (or high paying) as it used to be. This is to be expected in this day and age of GPT apps. However, it
can still be pretty useful in making a few extra cents here and there. In this
blog post, I’ll discuss how I take advantage of this app (keep in mind I am an
Android user), as well as my observations when using it.
How I Use It
I use AppTrailers only a few times a week, and that’s when I’ve maxed
out my other apps for the day. For example, I’ll run this app after I’ve maxed
out my earning ability with my Swagbucks apps or after I run out of
passive earning time on any of my devices that are running CashMagnet.
I’ll start playing videos (I usually choose RapidReviews, then start
from the top, which is La La Land as I write this), but for the first 10-20 minutes, I notice that it’s not passive
at all.
The First 20 Minutes
During the first 20 or so minutes, whenever an ad runs, I’ll have to tap
the small green “next” button in the top right corner to cycle to the video
RapidReview video or to get to the next ad. As long as I tap this little green
button, I’m earning Perk points. This pattern will continue until the app goes
into what I refer to as “passive mode.”
AppTrailers’ Passive Mode
Once the app is in passive mode, you can step away from it and it will
continue to earn Perk points automatically for some period of time. How long
this is varies, but for me, it’s usually between 10 minutes and a few hours. Occasionally
it’ll go all day or all night, but that’s rare.
At some point in time, it’ll revert back to the “next” green button
procedure, or I’ll get the “Are You Still Watching” prompt. If I’m able to tap “yes”
in time, I can sometimes get the passive earnings to continue for a substantial period of time. If I don’t, it
stops and my phone goes to sleep due to inactivity.
One interesting thing I noticed was that if the phone sleeps due to inactivity because I didn’t tap “yes,” when I start it up again, within a
few minutes, I’ll always get the “Are You Still Watching” prompt. After tapping
“yes,” I can sometimes get an hour or so of passive earnings with AppTrailers.
The Earning Pattern with
AppTrailers
If I haven’t used AppTrailers in a day or more, when it starts up, I’m
getting 10 Perk points per cycle. But after a few cycles, it’ll drop to 9
points per cycle. After another few cycles it drops to 8 points per
cycle and so on. I’ve noticed it bottoms out at around 3 or 4 points per cycle,
which is still pretty good if it’s in passive mode.
To get it to “reset,” so I’m getting 10 points per cycle, I have to go
at least a day without using AppTrailers, but sometimes a few days. But by this
point, my Swagbucks apps have reset or I’ve got more passive earning time for
my CashMagnet app.
Conclusion
In my opinion, AppTrailers is not dead and is still a pretty good
earnings app. You just have to be willing to babysit it for a little while. For
me, I don't mind because I’m working on my computer with my phone next
to me or I’m killing time shopping online, watching youtube, or something else
where the babysitting an app isn’t a problem at all.
