Discussion: Updates to Swagbucks Video Apps

Attribution: Author’s Own Work

Things constantly change and nowhere is this more true than with GPT sites and apps. One recent change involves the Swagbucks video apps.

In earlier blog posts (Part 1 and Part 2) I discussed these apps in great detail, so this blog post will only go over the changes with these apps.

Daily Video App Limits

Most of the apps no longer have 10 SB daily caps. Instead, they have been lowered to 4 SB plus anything you get from bonus rounds. At the very least, the 4 SB limits have kicked in for: EntertaiNow TV, Moviecli.ps, IndyMusic, Sportly TV and LifeStylz.

Bonuses are still possible, although I’m not 100% sure if they’re only the result of Swagbucks new daily limit exception (see the below section) or if the bonus rounds are available on a purely “random” basis as they always have been.

Exception to Daily Video App Limits

To soften the blow of these daily SB reductions, Swagbucks now allows certain qualified users to still earn unlimited SB from their video apps. According to Swagbucks' Blog, “qualified” users can receive unlimited SB from the apps if they interact with the ads. Of course, they won’t say how extensive or how often the interaction must be. Basically, Swagbucks wants to reduce the amount of passive earning potential. This is understandable, given the pressure they must feel from their advertisers and customers concerning phone farming.

Bottom Line

It’s getting harder and harder to earn money online in a passive manner. I remember the days when you could get 20 SB per Swagbucks app per day. Those were the golden days…
